The Vans Old Skool is the latest version of longest running skateboard shoe model ever. Before the X-Games, before ollies and grinding there was Vans shoes. The Vans gum rubber sole, glued to the shoe via vulcanization, allowed them to hang on to their board while taking surf inspired slides and carves to the pavement.
